We stop caring what your local lines’ addresses are. Your traffic rides an encrypted path, SwitchPoint’s Continuity Fabric, to a dedicated anchor node in the cloud that owns one permanent public IP. The world only ever sees that anchor. A failover simply re-routes the path underneath; the address on the outside never changes.

03The proof: we pulled the plug

Tested live on our own network operations lab. Here is precisely what happened:

On the primary wired line, we checked the public address the internet sees. It read the anchor node’s IP, not the local ISP’s.

We then physically unplugged the main internet line. No software, no clicking. A real outage.

In about 15 seconds, the device shifted onto cellular backup automatically. Browsing never stopped.

We checked the public address again. It was identical. The outside world never saw a change.
