Privacy Policy

This policy explains what SwitchPoint Backup ("SwitchPoint," "we," "us") collects when you use switchpointbackup.com or contact us, how we use it, and the choices you have. We keep this short and plain.

Information we collect

• Information you give us. When you submit our contact form we collect your name, email address, and any company name, phone number, location, number of locations, and message you choose to provide. We also record your IP address, your browser’s user-agent string, and the page you arrived from, so we can tell a real inquiry from the automated spam that arrives through the same form. Your submission is saved as a record in the customer system we use to track inquiries and follow up with you. It is never added to a cold outreach or marketing list.
• Usage information. We use a first-party analytics tool to understand which pages are visited and how the site performs. It records the page URL, the referring page, your IP address, the approximate city and region we work out from it, browser and device type, and a timestamp. Analytics are stored on a private single-tenant server we operate and are not sent to any third-party analytics provider. We do not run third-party advertising trackers and do not use the site for cross-site ad targeting.

How we use it

• To respond to your inquiry and provide quotes, deployment, and support.
• To operate, secure, and improve the website and our service.
• To send service-related and, where permitted, occasional business email. Every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link.

How we share it

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with service providers that help us operate (for example, email delivery and hosting), and only as needed to provide the service, or when required by law.

Data retention

Indefinitely. We keep contact submissions, correspondence and analytics for as long as SwitchPoint is operating. There is no deletion schedule and no expiry clock. Records we are legally required to hold, such as tax and business records, are kept at least as long as the law requires. This does not change your right to ask us to delete what you submitted, below. If you ask, we will.

Your choices

• You can ask us to access or delete the information you submitted by emailing sales@switchpointbackup.com. We respond within 30 days unless we are legally required to retain certain records.
• You can unsubscribe from marketing email at any time using the link in the message, or by emailing us.

Changes

If we update this policy we will change the effective date above. Material changes will be reflected on this page.
